Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Are you looking for some helpful ideas about how to transform ‘social distancing’ into an opportunity to serve with the love of Jesus?
Certainly we can start with the needs of our church family. Just pick up the church directory and immediately you have a way to connect and serve the family of faith.
But what about everyone else?
One great idea is to prioritise the people in your street. Here is a simple little card that you can print up at home, fill in your details and leave in the neighbours’ letter boxes.
Even if you can only connect with half a dozen households, it’s a strong signal that you are willing to serve.
And now that the Queensland Government has launched its Care Army. This is another strategic way we can make a positive contribution.
Sign up to join the Care Army via https://www.qld.gov.au/community/support-for-carers/care-army and you will be kept informed of the needs in the wider community!
Let’s make the most of this opportunity to shine the light!
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ.
